Default Normal Clutch Wear?

I have about 10k on my 08 SI. I do a lot of driving. Anyway, First gear catches higher than it did when it was new. Is this normal? I mean, I know how to drive stick, so I'm not a complete idiot. But, It seems like it's catching a little too high. Any ideas?

Well when I drove it off the lot, it caught almost right at the floor. Now, it catches like halfway between the floor, and fully released.almost right in the middle. when the car is ice cold, it catches 3/4 of the way off the floor. i know clutches have a break in period, and then become "normal" but it just seems to me it should catch earlier.

No idea, mine has always caught really high. I could probably shift just fine only pressing the clutch in an inch.

My 07 only has 10k miles, clutch has caught almost right off the floor since the test drive. Although I can get away with shifting while barely depressing it.

THanks a lot guys, for all the input. I'll have them check the fluid, and maybe they can adjust it when i get an oil change. Sounds like I'm just being paranoid since you all have similar behavior out of it. THanks again!

Is there not an adjustment on the pedal pivot?

Yea I barely have to depress the cluth at all and I can make it in, I just never do it because not fully engaging the clutch is bad.

I'm glad someone said that...lol. I was hoping everyone knew it wasn't a good idea to only press the clutch in an inch. I could, but I press it in all of the way every shift.

Anyway, to answer the OP's question; My car has 10k on it, and it still catches at the same point (pretty close to the floor). I am not positive, but your clutch may be worn, or some sort of adjustment may be out of whack. My '94 Accord still catches a quarter of the way up, with 198k miles on the original clutch.

*edit* IMO, your clutch doesn't seem normal, but I could be wrong. Take it to the dealer. See if it is out of adjustment.
