Door panel removal?

Door panel removal?
Did a search and looked at the FAQ's. I couldn't find anything on door panel removal for the 06-08. Getting ready to tint my windows and I've become fond of removing the door panels instead of jambing the weatherstripping under. I usually try to find good visual reference for the door panel removal just so I don't bust anything. Anyone know if a good DIY exists someplace?

Re: Door panel removal? (Klutch)
im guessing its like any other civic.. you unscrew the window switches and there are screws by the speakers.. and the door panel is held by clips so carefully pry it off.

Well that pretty much generalizes any vehicle but I appreciate the reply. I did go ahead and get them removed without breaking anything. Some of them quite often have little tricks or things you can't readily see.

Where the door handle is, theres a pop out clip and theres a screw behind there.
Remove the little panel in the corner of the front of the window.
Behind the silver trim that you use to open and close the door are two screws.
The rest are just clips that will come out when you pull the door panel.
Pull out and up to remove door panel.

Re: Door panel removal? (Klutch)
this is for a 4 door
I just removed all my door panels (07 Si Sedan) for tinting. I don't have a guide, but I can quickly tell you what I did. If I remember correctly, all doors are very similar.
1) Remove the cover inside the door lever. You will see two fasteners, a screw and a clip. Remove the screw, and remove the fastener by pushing the center pin in (~2mm).
2) Remove the plastic panel that holds the window control switches by carefully prying near the handle side of the triangle. Remove the silver #2 screw. Unplug the wiring connector.
3) Stick your fingers under the bottom of the door panel and pull very hard and evenly. Use 2 hands to distribute the pulling force over a wide area. There are 7 snaps that hold the panel on.
4) Lift the door panel up and pull out. Be careful not to scratch the metal near the window guides.
5) Remove the door handle assembly by snapping the entire triangle out, then pulling it back through the hole. There is no need to dislodge the cables.
