Default Car jerks when letting off or barely pressing gas pedal

I have an issue with my 2007 5 speed Honda Civic. She's a regular four door civic. I got the car used back in the summer and have only been driving the car for a couple of months. My father says the car just has a lot of torque. She's constantly jolting forward the second I let out on the gas peddle and putting it back in. I don't know much about standards I'm use to dealing with automatics. I just find it weird that a regular civic has so much torque that she's constantly jumping every time I let out or put in the gas pedal. Sometimes if I get it and she doesn't jump at all, sometimes it's light and you can barely feel it and some times it's very noticeable.

When you push the clutch pedal in does the RPMs jump? If so, loosen the pressure on the accelerator and then push the clutch in...otherwise you will release the clutch into a higher RPM than deired and you will get jerking..

Do you mean the delay in the throttle? i think this is from the drive by wire system, my civic does the same thing

no it's not due to that it has too much torque but more that you are probably getting use to driving standard.

If you don't time everything properly it will jerk all over the place. Once you get it right it will become second nature to you don't worry.

@Hercules if you think the drive by wire system is what is causing it come drive my car with Flashpro. You'll notice how sensitive the throttle is and it can catch you off guard if you aren't paying attention lol

Sounds like sloppy, bad motor mounts.

My 2008 was a different feel than any other manual transmission car I have ever had. It didn't jerk so much but definitely took a different approach than other cars. Does it do this in all gears or just the lower ones at higher revs?

This is also due to the rev hang that the stock cars have... It take some getting use to and the only real way out of it is doing a hondata reflash or the full Flashpro.
