2008 civic si speedometer only reads 0 ????????
So my speedometer stopped working at first it was going crazy increasing up to 80 mph when I was barely doing 10mph or so now it just reads zero and my car no longer keeps track of the Odometer. Replaced the transmission speed sensor on the front of tranny but still no luck. Any suggestions? This is my first post.

There is a speedometer cable that runs out of the transmission that tracks both RPMs and odometer readings. My guess is that the gear attached to the cable has damaged and won't work anymore. It is a common occupancy. Take it to any dealer or whichever shop you use and have them check it.

Im having the same problem with my 08 EX coupe.
I had Advance Auto Parts run a free CEL diagnosis with their OBDII scanner and the code that I got was P0720 (Output Speed Sensor).
Have you got the same code?
If you replaced the sensor and it is still not sending a proper signal to the ECU then the wire may be bad. You might be able to test it with a multimeter. Ill be attempting that soon, although I'm not sure how well it will go because it looks like its a very difficult spot to get into. Did you find the procedure to replace the sensor in a service manual or did you just go at it upon your own intuition?

Could be sensor or harness came unplugged somehow. Unplugged harness is more common on cars that just had some sort of Transmission service like clutch etc.

I had the clutch replaced but it actually went out before that even was done. Any suggestions as to where I should be checking the harness? I followed as best I could everything seemed solid.

could be harness or sensor. I would trace back from the sensor to see if you can see anything int he wiring before breaking into your car too far.
