2007 Civic A/C problem
A/C compressor has been replaced pulled a system vacuum and charged. All fuses under dash and under hood are all good. Replaced clutch relay. Ran the HVAC self-diagnostic no DTCs. A/C light comes on but no fans or compressor. Fans come on at high speed when engine temperature rises, so fans are working. In looking at the wiring diagram of the system the evaporator temperature sensor might be the problem. Any way to bypass before having to pull the evaporator to get at it? Have energized the compressor at the three wire connector and compressor runs fine.

Re: 2007 Civic A/C problem
how many wires go to the sensor? If its a wax type temperature sensor its basically a switch. So just jumping the two wires at the plug might do the trick.

The plug from the compressor and thermal switch was having a bad connection on my car ac would work then stop I replaced everything like you. I then played with that plug and found out it was faulty so I pinched it closed with a zip tie and my car has ice cold ac 06 ex

Thanks for the responses. Thermal switch is new with the compressor. I am going to try and jumper the evaporator temperature sensor but am trying to locate the connector. Is it the white two wire connector behind the glove box?

Re: 2007 Civic A/C problem
The evap temp sensor will normally only fail to the point that it doesn't shut off the compressor when the expansion valve fails and the evaporator freezes over. It's not likely it's preventing the compressor from coming on. Without looking it's possible you can atleast test it for continuity before trying to replace it.

Replaced the pressure sensor switch, system has 80 lbs of pressure. No A/C or A/C condenser fan. All fuses are good replaced both A/C and A/C condenser fan relays but neither will run when A/C switch is pressed on dash. After metering circuits, looks like no ground from PCM being provided to relays. Circuit diagram shows pressure switch, evaporator sensor, coolant temperature sensor, all are good. Blower runs fine.

Re: 2007 Civic A/C problem
Are there any circuit diagnostics I can do before I have to tear into the dash to get at the HVAC Control Unit 24 pin connector and follow the diagnostic routines in the book?
