are all your gaskets sealing properly? u can get a nasty hissing sound if one of your gaskets fails.

Also, a header will give u a different( louder) exhaust tone than stock, but it shouldn't be "a bad sound"

it sounds like the 2 bolts that connect ur header to ur piping are loose.. and the spring shaking around make that noise.. cuz my civ sounded like that too and i took it to the local shop and they said that the bolts were just loose.. but it could be different in ur case

well. if this is the case. is the space between the firewall and the header wide enough for me to go under my car and do it? the header's on a d17 are located on the back close to the firewall right? so i gues ill get a friend to rev my engine while im under it to find out which bolt is loose. then tighten it... if im right give me a BINGO!! hehe..

duuudeeee the header is in the front... lol just get a jack and 2 jack stands. jack the car up from the cross member in the front and put the 2 jack stands under the jacking points under the front 2 doors. then just tighten both bolts and rev the engine. tighten the bolts when the motor is cold.

They're on about a K, buddy.

The first guy says headerS, they second chap is correcting him by saying, effectively, that his engine has only one bank of cylinders buddy.
