Stumped: Clicking noise while turning, not CV Joint

Clicking noise while turning, not CV Joint, transmission I think
Last week I noticed a clicking or a ticking sound coming from the right front side of my 02' Civic whenever I turned right. I thought it would be the CV joint and took it to a mechanic Tuesday. He checked and said the CV looked fine, the boot wasn't busted. He did find the bushings on the control arm were shot and replaced them, but the noise didn't stop. So the next day he checked the CV again, took it or the axle out or whatever, said that it was the only thing it could logically be. He pointed out that the noise was only audible while driving in 2nd gear though and that it could be transmission related, but the fact that it was only heard while turning didn't make since, so it was probably just a coincidence that it was always in 2nd gear. So I had him replace the axle (he didn't charge for labor thankfully since he could have done it when he replaced the bushings the previous day), but the noise is still there.
I drove it around for 20 minutes after I left and found that I could only produce/hear the noise while in 2nd gear and while turning right. I don't get it. Any ideas?
edit: everything is stock and pretty much all original parts still. The car hasn't been lowered or modified in any way. Just cracked 100k miles. No noise while turning the wheel while stopped, in reverse, etc.
edit 2: I just found this post after a lot of searching: http://www.civicforums.com/for....html
"ok man listen do this,by the way i hope ur still under warenty.I had the same problem looked everywhere but i couldn't find the solution. You guys will never believe this but it's true,I also had a hard time believing it myself but it is a defective peice in the transmition that recieves tourque when turning right.I sent it to the dealer and they fixed it.If it is not coverd by warrenty,I think it was around 1000$ bucks canadian.I don't care if you guys think it's bullshit, all I know is when I got my car back it was running perfect with no noise."
"Its not the cv joints.. Ive done loads on gearbox mods.. In the gearbox there is the reverse gear selector arm. Inside the arm is a ball bearing and spring arm. what happens is the spring goes weak and the selector arm moves around, funnily enough it rattles on second gear.
Hope this helps.."
And then I just found this... http://www.carcomplaints.com/H...shtml TSB # 03009
TSB #03009 -- CLICKING NOISE WHILE DRIVING IN 2ND GEAR AND TURNING RIGHT. *TT (NHTSA ID #10001556, APRIL 08 2003)
TSB #03009 -- CLICKING NOISE WHILE DRIVING IN 2ND GEAR AND TURNING RIGHT. *TT (NHTSA ID #10001555, APRIL 01 2003)
Anyone else had this happen and have an idea what's needed to fix it and what it would probably cost? My certified preowned powertrain warranty just ended last month x_x
