srs light
I have a 2002 Honda Civic. The SRS light came on the other day. I dropped it off at the dealer to check it out. I was told that there is no connection between the saftey system ( airbags and seatbelts) with the car. They don't understand why so they have to order a brand new system. It would cost me about $600 and they aren't even sure if that will fix it. I feel like this should be covered under some kind of warranty. If I get into a car accident my seatbelts will not lock and the airbags will not deploy. I checked in my manual and in there states that the car has a seatbelt warranty. If anything were to happen to the seatbelts during the life of the car it is covered. Doesn't this count as a seatbelt problem? I don't see how this is a normal thing and I should be responsible for it. Has this happened to anyone? Any suggestions?
