Default Process to change and flush MTF correct?

Drain whatever is currently inside
Fill with cheap MTF + add 1 bottle of Auto RX
Drive for 100 miles
Drain + Fill with Redline MTF (SAE 75W80 GL-4) correct?

This sound about right? Car has 165k miles on it, not sure if it's ever been done to be honest. This seems expensive for a fluid flush, but seems to be the right way to do it.

Honestly, that's an extra step for me. I just drain and fill with new Honda MTF (see below). Redline is a waste, if you ask me. I've run AMS, Royal Purple, and Redline in the past. All made the transmission engage harsher, and made second gear a bit more difficult to engage. Get the good stuff, and don't waste time with the other crap.

Everyone swears by Amoil and Red Line.. I'll think about using the OE stuff, it is cheaper.

Do you recommend using Auto RX to help clean up the crap in there? It says to use 1 ounce per qt. I could buy 4 quarts of the MTF and do 2 changes, 1 for 100 miles, and the other regularly again?

Or should I just not worry about it and just fill it?

In all honesty, if your fluid comes out really dark, then I'd just drain and fill with Honda MTF. Then, after about 200 miles or so, I'd drain and refill with fresh Honda MTF. If the fluid comes out fairly clean, I would just do a simple drain and fill with Honda MTF. You can actually do more harm using an aftermarket fluid in the transmission. I use AMSOil and WIX filters in the car, so don't think I'm just trying to say "stick with OEM, because Honda is best in all scenarios" malarkey.

This sounds much safer than what I was talking about. It's $10 on Amazon, I'll call my Honda dealership and see if I can get it for any less. I should probably get the crush washers too correct?

Yes, I would recommend replacing the crush washer.

Also Honda does not recommend to flush the transmission fluid anyway.
