Default Parasitic draw on fuse #9 & Center Console not working

Hello all!

I have a 2005 Civic Hybrid with 135k on it. A couple weeks ago the battery starting dying over night and at work, I'd have to jump it every time. Lasted for about a week, worked fine for a week, then went back to dying. The battery is brand new.

I bought the car used, it came with a Viper alarm system, aftermarket head unit, and fog lights.

Did a parasitic drain test, it was drawing 200 - 300 mA. Narrowed it down to fuse #9. In the meanwhile, I pulled fuse 9 each time if I let the car sit 5+ hours. It should be noted, it starts when sitting under 3 - 4 hours.

My guess was the radio, buttons hadn't worked for at least 7ish months.

Pulling fuse 9 then stopped working as a temp fix. The drain around this time was sitting around 130 - 150 mA. I pulled out my center console and unplugged it all (radio, heater *****/buttons, cig outlet, fog light button).

I tested the drain again, it was down to 35 mA. I plugged each wire harness in one by one testing the drain each time.

I saved the radio for last and plugged the antenna, harness, and audio cables in separately, testing after each. The drain never went back up to the 130/150 range. (btw the car is wired for subs, but everything, including power wire, is unhooked cause of the radio button issue).

The car has stopped dying, but now my center console has stopped working: heater/air ***** & buttons and rear defroster button. The fog light button, radio and hazard light button still work.

I pulled everything out on Tuesday 1/27. Tues or Wed night after it sat for a while, I started it to check if it would, the blower worked, but the next day it didn't.

I checked the fuses under the hood that sounded relevant, but haven't looked at the ones under the dash.

Any input is appreciated, I have googled this. Thread I found was a year old.

My car knowledge is basic maintenance, I've changed out a radio once, haven't done a drain test before this.

Thank you!

First check under-dash Fuse No. 14 (10A).

Do both top test tabs of installed 10A dash fuse 14 have battery voltage?

Also make sure the heater control panel connector is fully seated.

I'm sorry, I'm not sure what you mean by either of those things.

It worked today on my way to work, nothing was changed by me since yesterday when it wasn't working.

Click the Testing Fuses link in my signature.

Make sure the connector is not loose.
