Okay so i replaced the tdc sensor and i put a new ecu(pcm) into the car but i still when driving if i accelerate to hard the car will go into limp mode and only put out half power but once i shut it off and turn it back on it runs fine as long as i dont accellerate hard again. Im now getting the tdc interrmitant error and just curious what els could cause this please ive gone over some wires and they all look fine but maybe im missing some somewhere? (before i got the tdc dead error i think its like p1362 or something but now its just intermittant)

Ive read that there could be an excessive endplay in the camshaft.... i really dont wanna replace the cylinder head is there anyway to resolve this problem without removing and reinstalling a new cylinder head? ( i will be testing all the terminals on the sensor tonight ) i will keep everyone updated on my progress im really hoping its an open wire that can be easily fixed


any other thoughts or input would be great thanks

Wow lots of people are having the same problems.

Did a code for the ELD pop up also. I forgot the code but when my tdc sensor went out, that code popped up also. I changed the eld and tdc sensor all was good after that.

I don't know why honda won't do a recall on this problem. 01-02 models are the main ones that run into this problem.

Havnt heard anything about the eld sensor... and no my scanner hasnt shown anything to do with anything but the TDC sensor.... but thanks for the heads up its something i may have to look into
