Default Oil and Tranny Fluid leaks

So as time goes I get leaks faster than I can fix them. I don't mind checking and topping off fluids, it's the nice stains all over the driveway that bother me especially when visiting friends.

So my question is, what are the common locations oil leaks from.

Done so far:

Tranny
dip stick
drain plug crush washer

Motor
cylinder plug
drain plug crush washer
seals needed when replacing timing belt
valve cover gasket

I had this happen to me a while ago at one of those quick lube places. Pick up save a thread made for stripped spark plugs 14mm X 1.25. It comes as a kit for about 30.00. It has 3 helicoils different sizes, tap and rod that makes a flange. Find new matching oil drain plug that will fit inside of the helicoil and new gasket. Take out oil plug and oil filter and let it drain for at least 30 minutes. Use the tap to make new threads run it in until it bottoms out but do not force it once it bottoms out and make sure it goes in straight in. Once you have made new threads spray a rag with break fluid and use your finger to take out whatever particles you have left in the hole. Take out helicoil put it on the tip of the tap (thread maker) and run it in. Choose one that it goes in flush with the oil pan. Once you decided what size helicoil to go with put on some red locktite on helicoil threads and run it into the oil pan until it bottoms out. Make sure you want that helicoil to be flush with the oil pan. Once you have done that use the rod that came with the kit slide it in inside helicoil and tap it few times with a hammer to make a flange. DO NOT hit it hard cause it might split the aluminum oil pan. At about 30 minutes put in new plug install new oil filter and put the oil back in into your engine. Let the car run and check for leaks. Good luck hope it works for you. It saved me a lot of money.

On my son's 2001 ex coupe at around 195k miles, the oil leak is spreading oil all over the under carriage. We thought it was an oil pan leak. Got that replaced, but still leaked oil.
It turned out to be the oil pump leaking at the block mating surface. Pulled the timing belt then removed the oil pump assembly. Cleaned machined surfaces and replaced the o-ring (91308-P3R-T01, item 17, O-RING (26.2X2.4) (YAMADA SOMBOON) and used Honda Bond on the oil pump discharge cavity in the block. It has been dry so far.
I hate oil leaking and staining my driveway.

So do not change the oil pan gasket. They seldom leak. The Honda Bond was tough to separate.
