Odd Transmission Behavior 01 Civic AT 207k Miles
I did a long overdue transmission fluid change about a month ago. On first drive after the change the car started shifting weird and has been ever since, although it is worth noting this does not happen every shift, maybe about 5% of the time.
What it feels like its doing is shifting, then immediately downshifting, then shifting again with a higher than normal rev after shifting. This is all while keeping the foot on the pedal at a constant speed. There is no thud or jerk to the car like I would expect if the transmission was slipping.

- Yes I used the right type of fluid.
- After parking on a level ground with car at operating temperature the dipstick measures at just over the high mark.

Take a pint or quart out and try putting in a Lucas additive. And remember HONDA AUTO TRANSMISSIONS ARE CHECKED WITH THE ENGINE OFF.
