Ok I got an 02 civic. Swapped an ex motor. Had an lx motor. The new motor is from an auto. I got it installed yet the idle is high 1500rpms. Why is that? Are the auto throttle body diff? It looks the same.

I have no vac leaks and everything is where it should be.. this is the only thing I'm guessing it is.

could be that the ECU just has finished adjusting? other than that not too sure

Check the Idle Air Control Valve. I cannot recall if there's an idle adjustment screw on the D17 throttle body, as it's been over 4 years since I've had one.

i think idle speed is controlled by the ECU and based on coolant temperature?

so the car starts up at 1500 rpm but idle won't drop down to around 700rpm?
