Default k24/20 build Questions

once i save up the money i wanna put a frankenstein engine in my car so far what ive got as the build plan is as follows.

accord or tsx? k24 block and head gasket
k20a2 head, oil pan, oil pump, oil cooler, waterpump, crank pulley
hondata heatshield intake manifold/cylinder head gasket
and to top it off hondata modified ecu

any suggestions or tips? im still not sure if i should use the tsx or accord block the main difference i can see is the oil squirters and ive heard both good and bad on those. although the tsx block has stronger internals i can always build up the accord block if im already blowing loads of money.

also, a question ive been searching for an answer to but havent found a definitive one yet. whats it take to get a frankie engine revving up around 9000? and is it worth it to build it up so it can do so?

oh come on. 40 something views and no one says anything. im looking for feedback here. if im gonna be blowing a crap ton of money on a k swap i wanna make it the best k swap i can put together. ive researched all of this but theres still a few questions ive got. not to mention i can look at all the diy threads on the internet and it still wont be as good as feedback from people who've done it.

Have you tried k20a.org? I'm sure they have more ppl who have swapped than this forum.

Not only that, but they've got a significant amount of information on the K24/K20 builds. As for the 9,000 RPM request, I've personally never needed to go past 7,500 RPM's on my K24A2. Take that as you like.

He'll probably stop making power pass 8,000 anyways. I don't see a purpose of aiming for such high shift points if you don't have enough power and keep that power until you reach it.

To OP:Just have your redline set around 8,000. Accord/TSX blocks should be stable enough to handle it.

It depends on the block and head choices.
