Default Installing aftermarket sterio in 03 Civic

Im trying to intall an aftermarket sterio in my civic. I dont have a wiring diagram so I dont really know which colors go to what. Dose anyone know what matches up? Im doing the guessing game and blew a couple fuses so far. I can get the radio to come on when I touch one wire with one on the aftermarket sterio but then it shuts off right away. There isnt any procedure I dont know about while unpluging the factory sterio that makes it shut the power off is there? Please help help help help help!!!!!!!!

when you bought the radio you should have bought a harness so you can match everything up. it goes by color just match them up. I did it this way and it worked fine for me. hope this can help you.

Yeah, its actually my friends. I dont know why he didnt by one. I told him to he just thought I could do it. Well I did it in a vw a mazda a ford a chevy a dodge a gmc a toyota... all successfully. But I tryed all the options on this. (I can tell which ones are the speaker wires, there bundled up) but when I put the power ones up to what I think is correct it powers up enough to say goobye. And then it wont power back on unless i unplug it and redo it in 4 miniuts... just to get the.... goodbye message on the sterio. Any ideas guys? I think i'll have him get the honda plug to switch it to normal colors tomarrow and try again. What do you think? lol

You waited 12min. from the time you posted, until you posted again. Then, you waited another min. until another post. You need to grow some patience, buddy, we're not on-call technical service people waiting to serve you.

I dont know, I didnt have the colors of which were which on the honda side. I got my buddy to go buy a adapter harness. And not were going to finish it that way. I havnt touched it for a couple days now. Im a horrable friend and made him drive around w/out music lol. Maybe ToyoMatt just had a bad morning and needed someone to take it out on. Yeah yeah, I know online fighting is not very manly. But common, only 98lb 15 year olds get irratated with someone posting to much in there "own" thread. So I dont think hes going to do much fighting in person. (Maybe his mom yelled at him.) Well Im going to go off the color coded wires on the attachment. You dont know if honda made anything in those years that would shut off the sterio if removed? I just dont get why both options would make it shut off. Pretty dissapointing to be a failure Oh well. I'll get it!

15? How old do you think I am?

I'm 21, genius. Even the most computer illiterate would have at least checked my profile. As far as my mom yelling at me, I would have no idea, since I don't live with my parents. I, can actually afford to live on my own, being Microsoft, Cisco, and Linux certified brings me enough to afford a rather "healthy" living style.

As far as the comment about me not being able to fight: albeit, it's been a couple of years since I boxed, I still hold a no defeat record for middleweight amateur boxing. If you've got an issue with that, well, I don't have much to say to you, sir.

I believe it is you, who are the teenager yelling out for attention, so I don't really intend to take this further. You need to calm down, before you really run yourself into trouble with that running "keyboard" of yours.
