Honda Civic 2005 SE Light Bulb
Hi,
My dipped beam light bulb needs a replacement, and I'm struggling to find the right one.
I have looked on the Halfords website and bought the light bulb below, but my friend said its the wrong one.
Halfords | Halfords (HBU472) 60/55W Car Bulb x 1
Had a another search online and found this one:
HB3/9005 Halogen Replacement Bulb
When my friend removed the lightbulb it is shaped in a L shape....can I take the bulb out of the black L shape and put a new one in that?
Any information would be useful, thank you.

We don't use the term "dipped" in the U.S. But, dipped appears to be the same as the low beam in the U.S.
You would need the HB4/9006 bulb. Neither of the ones shown in your links. See this link:

You can't take out the bulb out of the HB4 black base and use the HBU472.

Thank you for your reply. How comes Halfords recommended me the incorrect light bulb for my Honda Civic?
Is HB4/9006 Halogen Replacement Bulb definitely the correct one to purchase?

Re: Honda Civic 2005 SE Light Bulb
If dipped is the low beam and not the full brightness bulb, then HB4/9006 is the dipped bulb and correct.
If you compare the watts of the two bulbs, one thing you'll notice is the wattage for the HB4 is 51 watts at 12 volts, and the wattage for HB3 is 60 watts at 12 volts. The position of the plastic tabs on the black base should also be different.
You should also be able to see the bulb numbering (for example, HB4, etc.) on the old bulb. Try taking a flashlight and go look.
