Help Me Part Shopping
So I got the car looked at by a Honda Technician, the list is so long but here's the stuff I want to do myself.
Timing Belt DONE
Rear Sway Bushings
Compliance Bushings
I heard of people using Polyurethane bushings for the compliance bushings for longer life? Anyone confirm this? Any estimates on cost of the part and labor?
Updating OP with more relevant info as time goes on

get the NGK spark plugs and timing belt stuff from the dealership or majestic honda (online honda store). also get a water pump and a time belt tensioner to replace the old one. brembo rotors are good. no doubt. there's also a brand called centric. they make decent rotors as well, somewhat comparable to brembo(unless you find the brembo rotors for a decent price, that is).

Majestic Honda looks good, but I don't know what exactly I need for parts. The kits I needed had pretty much everything including new grommets and such.
Do you know of anywhere that has a kit where everything is included? Trying to keep this reasonably cheap as well.

Re: Help Me Part Shopping
cheap isnt necessarily getting a quality product. if the Honda OEM timing belt kit will cost $50 more than the kit on amazon, then i would suggest getting the honda OEM kit. simply because the $50 invested will save you having to replace the entire motor. or repairs in upwards of $1,000.

valve cover gasket should be done every 30,000 miles, but i've gone 100,000 without doing it before. its not really necessary unless you notice a little oil leak around the valve cover. hhahaha

Kind of mad. Got the timing belt done today, ******* charged me $700, don't think they changed the valve cover gasket, and they sure as hell didn't use Honda OEM parts. They pulled out the new belts when the car was literally all apart, so I couldn't be like I don't want it done now....
They did offer a lifetime warranty though, but still. Should've brought it to my local mechanic instead with my own parts like initially planned.
Going to be a wee bit mad for a bit.
Side note, I feel like there is a lot more hot air coming from my vents after the install..

I'd be surprised if you found a mechanic to use parts you brought in. Around me most won't do it. They can't guarantee the quality/age of the parts or that they're even for your car. Once I was told bringing parts to a mechanic to be installed is like bringing a steak to a restaurant and asking the chef to cook it. This is why it's easier in the long run just to learn how to do the work yourself.

Re: Help Me Part Shopping
While not an issue for the OP anymore, I'm getting ready to do my timing belt and had much the same questions.
I was thinking of getting the exact same kit for my '01 HX (Is it safe to assume the HX uses the same belt as a LX/DX/EX?) mostly for convenience. I wasn't sure which seals you would typically replace when doing a timing belt, and I didn't see a complete kit from Majestic, only individual parts.
If ordering OEM parts from Majestic, what is recommended to replace?:
Timing belt
Water pump
Tensioner (there is a kit for this with the tensioner spring)
Cylinder head cover seal (kit for this as well)
What else?

But $500 seemed to be right about what most were willing to charge me for the job, including the part.
Now Compliance Bushing and Rear Sway Bushing.. I hate spending money on my car now haha Timing Belt was more than planned (my fault)
