Headlights warning beep not working
Hi,
I have a Honda civic LX 2004 . When I get off my car without switching the headlights off, it doesnt give the warning beep sound. What could be wrong here ?

When you open your door does your overhead light come on? Maybe your car is not realizing your door is open.

you have a bad driver door switch which is located in the driver door jam. its held inplace with a phillips screw. you can pick this part up for about $5.at your local dealership
the part # is 35400-S5A-013.

Anyone fixed this yet?
My g/f has an '01 EX and the warning buzzer isn't working. The overhead lights come on when the doors are opened, both driver and passenger so I don't think it would be a switch but maybe. Is there a specific fuse in the box that controls the buzzer?

Re: Headlights warning beep not working
I called the Honda dealer for this problem; they told me it was a relay switch that needed to be reset and it would be no-charge. When I took it in today they told me it was the driver door switch and wanted $148 to fix the problem of no headlights-on warning beep. Told them no way (I have an '03 Civic EX). I'll try the fuse replacement - better look at the manual to find the 10a - and if that doesn't work, I'll order the driver door switch.
Thankfully, my hubby doesn't mind fiddling with our cars.
Sorry for the length of msg but thanks for the tips.
