Green key light flashes AFTER I turn the ignition off

Green key light flashes AFTER I turn the ignition off
I see lots of posts about green key lights flashing and cars that won't start.
But my Honda Civic (2003) starts fine and no lights flash until I park and turn the engine off. Then the grey key light flashes a few times when I take the key out of the ignition.
It just started doing this yesterday.
Anyone know what this means?
