Default Do your brake pads wear evenly?

I just changed my brake pads last night. I'm now on my third set of pads after 125,000km of driving. I noticed that both sides had uneven pad wear again. The pads closest to to the engine were thinner than the pads on the outside of the car. All pads were also uneven.

After seeing the uneven pad wear, I checked all the slide pins. They all still had lots of gooey grease inside. I cleaned them off then added new brake grease to them. I also cleaned/lubed the sliders.

Does anyone here get perfectly even pad wear? So far this is the second time I've changed my pads and both times they were uneven.

all the pads should wear pretty much evenly but not perfect. the inside one will be more worn (but not much more) cuz its getting all the pressure from piston pushing on it

If his rotors are warped, he's got vibration too. What the other guys said. Should be close to same, not exactly, more wear on piston side, not much though. Check your slides, which you already did, or the calipers might be hanging on. Does it spin easily by hand when off the ground on the jack and in neutral?

When I had my 01 EX, it did wear pretty much evenly, and done at the same time.

rotors were not warped...i did not have any vibrations

the wheel did spin easily so the calipers were not seized
