Radiator Fan Switch Circuit Troubleshooting (Short)
. Remove the radiator fan relay from the fuse/relay box under the hood.
Is the relay okay?
Yes - Go to step 2
No - Replace the radiator fan relay
. Remove the radiator fan switch and test it.*
Is the radiator fan switch okay?
Yes - Go to step 3
No - Replace the radiator fan switch.
. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
. Disconnect ECM / PCM connector B (24-pin) and the under-hood fuse/relay box 14-pin connector.
. Check for continuity between the #2 terminal of the radiator fan switch 2-pin connector and a body ground.
Is there continuity?
Yes - Repair a short in the wire between the radiator fan switch 2-pin connector terminal #2 and the under-hood fuse/relay box.
No - Replace the under-hood fuse/relay box.
