Default Clutch hydraulics issues

2003 Honda Civic Si Canada

I'm not a professional but I go to school in auto mechanics trade. My friend brought in his car because his clutch pedal was on the floor (depressed).
Upon inspection his slave cylinder bracket was broken and the pin was slanted to the point where it bent the slave and all the fluid leaked out. Using shopkeys method we went ahead and change the slave. We bleed for an hour then went ahead and changed the master cylinder aswell.
I bench bleed the master before reinstalling. Measured the distance from the pedal and installed in the same position as the original. I bleed it 2 man way. I bleed it using pump. I bleed it using a hose and bottle method. Out of frustration my buddy's phone fell out of his pocket and broke. There is no feel in the pedal and no visible air bubbles are exiting the slave. Did we damage the slave while installing? Is there a way to test a slave? Did we miss something? I checked the line for leaks. None visible? I'm still puzzled has to how the bracket broke in the first place. If anyone has any recommendations it would greatly be appreciated.
When the clucth is pressed. The pin comes out but it doesn't come back in on its own. I search online each day I come home but most explanation are vain and not in great detail so I'm assuming I'm doing something wrong or something I missed. Please help.

Could be a clutch or release fork problem.

Thanks for the reply. I fixed my problem. Started doubting myself when the pedal wasn't coming back up on its own. Just took patience to realize that the guy that was helping me is an idiot. I went for a broom stick, vacuum bleeder and a large bottle of brake fluid. Took about 20 mins. Reason it dint work the first time is because he kept closing the brake resavoir and adding fluid after it emptied. At this point he let back air into the master that I bench bleed
