2003 Honda civic ex 1.7 L vtec 5 speed. I was accelerating last weekend and all of a sudden when I got 4k rmp the car starts jerking and won't rev higher. I found that if I turn the key off pull it out and start the car it'll rev past 4k for a few minutes of driving then just does it again it's through all the gears and even in neutral. I looked into it and have found some people claiming VTEC solenoid and the code that is popping up that is some of the symptoms of the code it's reading also I can't find where to buy the solenoid.

I'll have to get it checked again tomorrow I'm away from home and don't have my scanner

Make sure you check your oil level. If it's low then you'll have the same issue at 4,000 rpm
