Brake Pedal Squeak
Got another weird one for ya...
For about 6 months now...when I release a depressed brake pedal on my 2001 ES1 I get a squeak...just a meager mechanical squeak...
...so...whadda I need to grease up?

i have an 01 too and have the same problem. I think i need to put more anti-squeal on the pads. Might not have put enough on in the first place. My truck did the same thing and taking the pads off and putting more anti-squeal on them did the trick.

WD-40 is water-based. You'd be better off using an oil-based lubricant or Lithium Grease around the brake cable bushing.
