2003 Honda Civic EX Sedan EVAP Code
Hi there,
New to the forums and to fixing my own car.
I had the EVAP code 1457 show up on my car about a month ago right as I was due for inspection. I went to Auto Zone and that was the code they told me. I then used my dads OBD scanner to confirm. I changed my gas cap as a cheap and easy possible 10$ fix. I then used the scanner to reset all my codes and then the EVAP code showed as INC for about a day and then came back. Any ideas in what should be the next step in troubleshooting this problem? I would prefer to fix it myself vs bringing it to a mechanic if possible.
Thank you!
Ryan

If the cel light is off and it reads incomplete on the scanner. youll be fine doing the smog. it will pass with NO CEL and allowed 1 test to show as incomplete. usually its the evap test .
