To shift to any position on the column is very difficult. It feels like there is no lubrication in the column and you need to be strong just to go from one position to another. Even Nuetral to Drive or any other position. Any advice?

im assuming you need new transmission fluid?

unless your not pressing the little tab on the top of the shifter...

Sounds like a kinked shift cable. Could be wrong. Can't see your car! I'd take it to your local dealer to check out.
