2002 Civic Trunk Wont Stay Closed
My trunk latch does not lock. This is a continuous problem. I've already replaced the latch and after a few months, the problem is back. it is either stuck in lock position or open position but it will not stay closed.
Last night, I used a screwdriver to make sure the latch locks and it does, however, it unlocks with very little force. Can anyone plz help me?

Hmm... have you tried adjusting the striker that the latch attaches to when you close the trunk lid? It's held in place with two 10mm bolts, and is adjustable.
Here, this is a TSB from the FAQ's about the trunk lid being difficult to close. http://www.mediafire.com/?3xtxcjzz1co

That did the trick. I had done that previously before changing out the latch so I didn't think that it would fix the issue again but it worked. Thanks for your help.
