I have a 2002 Honda Civic EX that keeps overheating randomly I've changed out the radiator, thermostat and getting the same results mor often after I changed the thermostat. I cant figure it out PLEASE HELP!!! This is my daily driver and my only driver at the moment. Thanks in advance.

Remove the thermostat completely. Reinstall the housing empty. It's a band aid but it works. It'll give you till next winter to figure out the cause. With no thermostat, it'll take a while to get heat inside the car, but in the summer that's not really a problem.

Did you use a genuine HONDA thermostat ? If not, this is likely your problem. Removing the thermostat completely in some cases causes water to move too fast through the system, and thus, not providing the water enough time to cool when in the radiator. This can cause an overheating issue all on it's own.

I agree that the no-thermostat-solution is not ideal. I was just thinking about the increase in total thermal mass and that if OP's one way drive to work is less than 15-20 mins, the car will never even make it up to operating temps.

air pocket , disconnect heater hose by the thermostat and purge .
