2003 EX

Purchased a used auto trans that was imported from Japan.

When "D" is selected everything is fine.
When D3 is selected the shifter is not falling into the detent and is hovering between "D" and "D3"; also results in P1705
"2" is not even selectable.

I adjusted the shifter cable on the shifter side but it does not correct the issue. I think there is a sensor disagree between the position of the shifter and the selection of the transmission.

Apparently there are some slight differences between the American and Japanese models. The folks that sold me the transmission told me I need to modify the range sensor on the shifter and the shifter cable bracket mounted to the transmission.

Does anyone have a step by step for these mods?
