02 Honda Civic LX Coupe, Water Leak
Hello, I have an 02 Honda Civic LX Coupe.
I bought it recently from a dealer and its giving me a couple problems.
Right now everytime it rains I notice that the front and back passenger floor are wet, but mostly the back passenger floor. I know very little about cars honestly, so its hard for me to inspect the problem and find out where the leak is coming from.
This only happens with it rains though, so I dont think its the AC.
Can anyone help?

Window seals, or a gap in a body seem. My two first guesses.

Unfortunately, leaks are common.

Body seem, yes. Where two panels meet one another. They're spot-welded and sealed. Sometimes they forget to apply enough sealant. (or they completely brainfart it)
I honestly have absolutely no idea what it would cost to have someone fix it. Based on the fact that shops usually charge by the hour and not the job, just locating the leak could turn out to be expensive.
If you've got the time, remove the panels which you believe are covering the area(s) that are allowing water into the car. Then have a friend use a hose and run water over the car while you source the leak. You may even do this on your own, it's just easier with two people. (and not as boring)
Another thing to consider is that the rain is entering the car two different ways. (mine was) A little would enter while the car sat, but the majority of the water I kept finding in my spare tire well was coming from a gap between the rear passenger wheel well and the passenger quarter panel inside the trunk. A little silicone fixed that problem.

i would say check your trunk for water. when you hit the brakes the water slapshes forward on to the seat then to carpet. my seam opened up in the trunk to quarterpanel seam right by the rear window in my car ( as in like 1/4 in section of seam sealer was gone) i used some more oem seam sealer and it seems to stop the leaks.

The car is from Florida.
And the car gets wet inside while parked, but I'll still check the trunk.
I put some bags to seal the passenger door better, tomorrow is supposed to rain, so when I wake up tomorrow and the floor is not wet, (cause I just finished drying it off), then it is deff something to do with the Door seals, or window seals.
