'01 Civic HID Help!?
So I bought a set of projector headlights for the wifes '01 Civic (H1 bulbs) and 6k HIDs for the low beam, high beams will be halogen as it is a seperate bulb. The low beam HIDs work fine but my high beam indicator is always on even if the lows are on. When I flip the high beams on they dont work and the low beams flicker. I have tried running the low beam/high beam power in every config possible but no dice. The kit is PnP so I didnt have to run a relay or fuse. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks

Re: '01 Civic HID Help!?
i think i got the same kind of projector as you but my highbeams are H1 low beams H3 both running HID with 2 ballast on each side, the way i wired it i didnt use the PNP harness i used wire tappers. for the stock civic headlamp harness is a H4 theres 3 slots Middle one facing up is ground, right one low beam, left one high beam. try using tapping connectors should work anything goes wrong the fusebox is under the hood

01-03 civics use the same bulb for both high and low beams. there is no PnP HID kit that will allow for both low and high beams AFAIK. This is coming from someone who spent 250 on a PnP HID kit and then got frustrated and got both Audi and BMW bi xenon retrofits.

Re: '01 Civic HID Help!?
I'd recommend getting a wiring harness that draws directly from the battery and splits the H4 connector to hi/lo so you can use both. I just sold one that was made before a long time before the market was flooded with these harnesses. They're all over the place now...check on Amazon

Re: '01 Civic HID Help!?
even though it is a pnp kit, you really should use a wire harness.
As far as your wiring, heres what you need. If you are looking at the female h4 plug so it looks like a triangle, the bottom right prong is your constant 12v, the top apex of the triangle is your lo beam ground, and the bottom left is the hi beam ground (01-03 uses a ground switched plug). for your lo beams, put the red wire from the ballast into the bottom right and the ground in the top hole. for the hi beams, youre gonna need to get a few feet of wire (14ish gauge is fine). run your +ve wire into the bottom right hole (this is the same hole your lo beam +ve is going into as well) and run your other wire into the bottom left hole.
This should clear it all up. hope it helps
