Negligible difference between Neuspeed springs and GC's, when stock dampers are concerned.

Lowered Civics on steelies? Plenty of those in a simple Google search.

Ordering GCs to go with stock shocks for the time being, do I need new top hats or anything?

Icon2 Function & Form Coilovers modification?!

Currently on TEIN Basis and tired of the **** like spring binding. I want to go F&F but was told about a certain thing I have to do with them. Drilling into the Knuckle so I can fit the 16mm crash bolt into it because it won't take my 14mm crash bolt.

I have a 2001 Civic. 01-03 use 14mm and 04-05 Civic & EP3 use 16mm.

So this is true? And only mod I have to worry about for either Type 1 or Type 2 F&F?

Thank you in advance.

How can I stop my spring binding on my TEIN BASIS Coilovers? Greasing only goes for so long. I even put the silencer rubber on each spring (2 on each) from TEIN. I heard about thrust bearings, would it work? NEED HELP.

The F&F's should come with a bushing that will close up the gap for you. You shouldn't have to drill the knuckles out.

Other friends have told me otherwise but that would be awesome if not bro.

As for my TEIN's, that is the problem I'm dealing with now.

Icon2 Coilover springs

Is the ground control coilover spring kit designed to adapt the current struts? Any ideas on decent replacement struts?

Its designed around the stock struts and rear shocks. Decent replacements have been listed several times in this thread.

Default Shorter springs with coilovers

Has anyone used shorter springs than what came with their coilovers? I'm looking into 4 inch Hyper coils to go with my Progress coilovers but don't know which spring rates to go with.

Yes, that's been done before. But, you'll want to be wary of how long the stroke is on your dampers, because if you go too far... you'll bottom out the stroke of the damper itself, and destroy the damper.

OBK (ourbloodykisses) ran shorter springs on his coilovers years ago.

Thanks Matt, I've ordered Progress coilovers, SPC front and rear camber kits, new Moog front top hats, the Moog control arm ball bushings.. and now to wait for all the pieces to come in.

Got to replace my front lower ball joints. How much should I expect this to cost? Trying to shop around for good prices.

Default 01 Civic EX MT Good struts?

Hi guys, I've looked around a bit for some new struts.

I was thinking I might just get the Eibach Pro System with some Polyurethane bushings as well. What is the specific part number set for my vehicle? Anything better for the money?

I def need a suspension overhaul. Struts, Springs, Damper, Bushings, anything else I should replace while I'm doing this? I'm somewhat of a noob, so feel free to post and links/videos on doing this.

Don't need anything fancy, just something that works. I can push the car down with 1 hand it sags so much

Poly bushings? Do you plan on racing the car? Do you prefer a stiffer ride? Because they're going to be noticeably stiffer. And the control arm bushings require a press to install (or if you've got some experience, you can do it with a good bench vise and some larger sockets).

He could get either hardrace bushings or replacement bushings instead

No racing, but they won't wear as fast correct?

I want a suspension kit for my car, what's the part number for the eibach one or anything else that's better? Trying to keep the kit under $500 if possible

I'm looking at $300 for a complete set of Koni Orange struts. $230 for the Eibach Pro Springs. I'll get some bushings as well.

Is there anything else I should get or better options for a daily driver? No track. I also don't want to replace these again.

Do I need the 50mm OE outer housing or 55mm?

Do I have just 2 bushings in the front? I just need to order 2 correct?

other good options are koni yellow inserts and ground control sleeves which are eibach springs and adjustable. for a little bit more money you could get a full ProgressTtechnology coil over. you should also look into Moogs new ball joint lower control arm bushing Innovative MOOG control arm bushing design makes it longer lasting and easy to install - MOOG

Poly can deteriorate quickly as well, depending on the product you buy. I'd prefer a hard rubber bushing instead, though. They take longer to wear out then the other options, and don't provide so much feedback from minor impacts which cause a harsh ride.

A suspension kit? Do you mean springs and shock combination, or coilovers? Either way, $500 is a low amount of money to spend for the car.

i concur $500 is no were near enough for a reliable suspension setup your better of not buying anything at all or save up for something better otherwise don't waste your hard earned money.

I've decided I'm just going to let the mechanic do the struts. I don't want to mess with a spring compressor, and I still would need them to install the bushings for me as well. With that being said, what is a good cost effective option? I want to use stock springs, I drive in the winter a lot and don't want the car lowered. Would cheapo Monroe Struts work as well? Here's my list so far:

4 Hard Rubber Bushings
2 Koni Orange Front Struts
2 Koni Orange Rear Struts
4 Wheel alignment

How much can I expect to pay the labor for someone to install this for me?
