How many different OEM side marker/repeaters are there? It depends on the chassis. The ones being discussed are usually labeled as EK9, EK, CTR, Type R, and/or JDM by North Americans.

Since it is easier to call them that, many people around the world are also doing the same. Not everything is EK9 and/or JDM but EK9 is JDM.



Did you know the beloved "EK/JDM" side marker/repeater actually came on 1990.10 Honda Legend first?

All models listed below are non-North American models. Some years may seem off but they were always released earlier in Japan.

HR–V did not have side marker/repeaters in Japan. Not sure of reason but everywhere else had them. HR–V are popular in Europe and the Middle East. Many used Japanese ones are exported there.

*Regarding Amber/Black Base/Non-Painted Black Housing, I have no further information on them. PasswordJDM seems to be the first to sell them and claims it is an OEM part from some 'asian' country.

Playing with Lings UK, I could not find anything remotely close. The web also does not provide anything on them.

How sure are you that the HR–V didn't come with them in Japan? I heard they did.

Instead of asking me if I'm sure. Show the public what you heard.

If you spent even 1 minute on google, you can change what you heard to what you researched.

Honda HRV googled. What does the used japanese exporter show? (7th link on page 1 of googled Honda HRV).

Go to Honda.co.jp, what does it show? Search Minkara for HR-V and rummage through photos. (You don't have to, it takes awhile to go through).

All googled images of Honda HRV with side markers/repeaters do not have japanese tags.

If you find some without side markers/repeaters with non-japanese tags, they are used exported japanese variants or the owners' shaved them (unlikely unless they are customized).

By the way, this is only using Google USA. If you use any non-North American countries' Google, it will show this minor detail with greater ease.
