PIC THREAD: The Winter/Spring Build of my daily driver CD5 Accord - 56K NO - Tons of pics
FIRST OFF: This Accord is not meant to be fast. It is an Automatic, LX, single cam F22, it is by no means fast, that's not my intentions with this car. Some things may not be some people style, I like the way it sits, so thats what matters. If you want to post your smart/rude comments, hit the back button and do it on some other thread.
The car (1994 Honda Accord LX Automatic) was purchase in Aug. 2005 after I sold my b16 powered 90 Integra daily driver. I needed something more reliable (that thing went through axles yearly) and much more comfortable because I work for a newspaper and travel a good bit. Just tring to build something that looks nice, cheap to work on, reliable, and comfortable.
Three weeks after purchase 9/05:
Tein S Tech Lowering Springs, Konig Tantrum (17's, not my first pick but for $250 w/tires how could I go wrong, alot better then the stock caps) painted bronze with duplicolor wheel paint.
The clear was peeling bad on the tops, it had some dings and rust forming, I do a decent amount of body work, so I decided to change it up since I wanted a white accord anyways.
The day I pulled it in the garage to start 12/05: (pics show were rust was)
After I welded all the emblems, antenna and side molding holes shut, welded new sheet metal into the rust area and starting smoothing 12/05-2/06:
After that I started some misc. projects to go onto/into the car:
DIY Black Housing headlights
DIY Mugen Stlye Grill
Painted Bronze Valve cover
Fiberglass sub enclosure
Fiberglass Red Bull/Amp removable drink insert
CF Rear Window garnish overlay
AS the car sits now:
The color changes from a very BRIGHT white, to a cream white, kinda hard to describe.
The car was sprayed in gray sealer, 5 coats of base white, wet sanded entire car, 8 coats of pearl white/bronze mix, 5 coats of clear. Then the entire car was wet sanded 1000 grit, then 1500 grit, then I used 3m RUBBING compound and polished the entire thing by hand, no buffers used (god this took 2 weeks).
Next for the car? It is in need over a good interior scrubbing I will be doing soon. New wheels next year (not sure which wheels, but they will be bronze), and I am waiting for the current motor to dye so I have an excusse to do the h23 swap.
I did EVERYTHING to this car myself, with the exception of my good buddy Charlie that helped me with the actual spraying of the car. The car was painted in my home garage.
I will be updating with new pics and new mods as time goes by. Thanks for viewing.

Well, I went to hook up the system last week, had it all wired up. Now my damn amp won't work, I pulled it back out til I get my amp back from factory service.
Thanks for the props everyone. It sure was alot of work but the end result is well worth it. Anyone have any ideas on what wheels to get next (something priced right for a daily driver), I want to keep 17's on it.

BUMP for my beater!
Anyone got any suggestions for some bronze wheels? Like to stay with 17's, but I am open minded
