It depends what out come you want. If you would just like to cover it and match the steel panels, then just the reg paint method should work. but if you want the CF weave to show though then you will have to use a translucent or candy paint..like my lip...

Yah, thats actually my lip, I cracked it a while back, the looked closely and realized it was just the clear that cracked, so I sanded it down and shot over it...I like it...and it brought some new flava to a 5yr old piece

I like this idea. My friend painted the outside of his hood. Sort of the lines coming from the inside of the headlight, towards the windshield, it looked really good. RIP that car it had some cf goodies...

once you paint over cf you cant go back... i say do what 8 O ATE did on his cf lip and spray yours with a translucent candy paint...
