Default My '95 GSR Build - JDM front, 5-lug, Paint, etc. (56k? What the hell is that?)

EDIT: Added all pics to the first page
EDIT: Lowered pics on page 2, along with final install of S2000 Cluster.
EDIT: Pics of my car at HIN Chicago on page 3.

Here's my build thread, I've been working on my Integra for about 3 years:

First Integra, '94 GSR bought in Texs and driven back up to WI, stolen Sr. year of college:

Second Integra, '95 GSR bought near Chicago, only pics I have of it stock:

Then the mods started, the beginning of a money pit.

Stock exhaust = fail:

New exhaust = win:

Ordered a new ITR transmission from Baranco Acura as well, no more peg-legging it:

Had to have improved handling to go along with LSD:

Also added a 23mm JDM ITR rear sway bar and Beaks reinforcement.

Got sick of bug eyes, so this went on:

CF fenders just didn't do it for me, so got a pair of these:

Everything welded up, aligned, and bolted on:

Picked these up, and decided I needed four extra lugs on my car:

Much better:

Putting Aerocatch hood latches on, some extra goodies on:

What's that thing with the thing in it? Oh yeah, the engine bay:

Head milled 0.030", Port & Polish, 3-angle valve job (King Motorsports), supertech valves, omni dual valve springs and Ti retainers, Ferrea bronze guides, CTR intake cam, ITR exhaust cam, Skunk2 cam gears, Power Enterprise timing belt, NGK Power Cables, Denso Iridium plugs, Skunk 2 manifold, Hondata heat gasket, Professional Products 68mm throttle body, J's Racing Intake, Hytech Replica Header, Test Pipe, Carbing Tower Bar, Avid billet race mounts, Phearable chipped p28.

ITR Doors, thanks Top Setup:

In for paint, Nighthawk Black Pearl:

Out of paint (fresh base and clear):

Almost Ready (wet sanding):

Wetsanding done:

After much rubber molding installation, cleaning, and my friend painting me a custom hood and valve cover:

And a couple pics at my first car show:

*** shot:

I sold the Teins before paint, car is now sitting on PIC R3's.

Next up is installing an S2K cluster and start button.

Lowered pics, last time that the ITR wheels will be on:

Next pics will be with the new wheels (after trimming the rear fenders, grinding down the NSX rear calipers, and wheel spacers). And a slight raise because my front upper arms are hitting my shock tower!

Here's pics of my car at HIN in Chicago, other pics of the show can be seen here:

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=2372865

Artsy pic in the garage (I'll take some better ones once my Rebel is fixed):

Some pics from the King Motorsports meet 2008:

To all who've wondered, here's where I got the idea from:

And here is the watercolor I wanted on my hood:

Here's a photoshop I did of it on an ITR (not sure whose car this is):

Thanks!

I can definitely agree that the RS*R exhaust = win. Perfect exhaust note, good diameter size, and nice stock look.

It took about 3 years from when I started changing the front end, until now. I've done all the work except paint, although I did the majority of prep work and wetsanding.

Very nice header, I passed on one when I bought my exhaust and have regretted it ever since. Hang on to it, they don't come along often anymore!

I sold them a few years ago to a member on here from Chicago. I just didn't like the way they looked, it was just too much.

They were a steal from a friend who has an NSX, a deal I couldn't pass up. I rarely see anyone running front and rear NSX calipers, its a bit overkill, but in the future I'd like to remove ABS and get a brake proportioning valve.

Thanks Patrick, I've watched your builds from when I first signed up, you've got a great clean looking teg. Wisconsin winters made my stock one rot off at the muffler, so it was a 'fail' for me. The paint still needs a bit of wetsanding in parts, but overall looks great, I was glad I could have a hand in doing the prep work and it saved me a bit of cash.

Haha, I didn't think of that, it does! Paint on the hood and valve cover was done by a friend of mine, it's based on a Japanese watercolor painting. His car is the silver Eclipse next to me in the car show pics, he has an insane amount of work into his car. I'll have to post a few pics of it. In return I engineered him some hood struts.

Car has been lowered about 2" since these pics were taken, I had to wait for the suspension to settle out. I'll take some pics next time the car is out. I may raise it 1/2", as there's not much cleance between the shock tower and the SPC front arms.

I also installed an ASR subframe brace last weekend.

Car looks great man. I love how you modified cargo cover to fit with your X brace.
However how did you get the NSX rears to fit on the teg? How much work was done in that? I am looking at doing the NSX front conversion (already have ITR's) how much more work is involved with the rears?
