They both do the same thing, and they both work well. Some people are loyal to one brand over another. I've used both, and have no complaints.

best way to do it is break it in half then put half away and break the other half into even smaller pieces one for each panel of car (about 15 pieces) you will prolly need 2 for the hood though

I used the original clay bar...the blue one...I forgot the brand its alot cheaper than those two. My car had a slight red overspray that you could see in direct light...with some lube and a couple rubs everything came right out. The clay came out red.

I personally like Meguiars Clay Bar Kit b/c it comes w/ 2 bars, microfiber cloth, AND it comes with their quik detailer (their liquid cleaner/wax,) which I've found makes clay baring even easier then if you use water.

Meguiars FTW!

I've used both as i just rely on what is available locally. Both work exactly the same in my experience. They do the same thing, work the same, are the same in ease of use. I wouldn't worry to much.

clay is clay is clay.

I've only used Mother's, just because it's what's kept locally. Same ****, different brand name.
