Re: Maaco color change?... (MR.RED'89)
I just went there and got quoted 1200 plus 75 per jam for a color change... all together it would be about 1450...
I don't remember the details of the quote but the guy who did the quote told me it would have imperfections and such.... damn, 1450 for a shity paint job
I'm going to learn how and paint it myself!
The guy who did the quote was like, "yeah, it won't be perfect man, you know, lots of imperfections and such, but it will look better than it does now."
He really said that!
I noticed there were lots of cars in the shop with tons and tons of dust on them (been there for a while) and there were burnout marks all over the street in front of the shop gee, I wonder how they got there?
There's no way in hell I'm taking my car there! I'd rather rattle-can the ****!

Re: (Shaun)
my old accord was painted silver by maaco. the first time the paint on the sideskirts peeled off cause it wasnt prepped at all. took it back and they spryed the entire car again free of charge (does have warranty). this was 6 years ago and the guy i sold the car too still has the car and paint is still pretty good i must say for $300 dollars.
i also have 2 cars i painted at earl scheib
1.integra ls was red painted it candy apple red lasted good for 6 months dont know after that cause i sold the car.
2.integra gsr was green changed to viper blue pearl and i must say i paid $475 which included some dings and holes filled from the wing and omg this paint job was pretty good for the price, not the best job in the world or shine but i was really happy with it and everyone loved it.
heres a link to the viper blue pearl gsr http://www.angelfire.com/dc2/r....html
