My car is going for a different look, rather than "Clean" The whole car is a DIY sort of thing, other than motor, drivetrain, exhaust and suspension, or anything MECHANICAL, i would say. I use things other than what you buy for the car specifically. I'm sure you'd appreciate it if you saw it. I have my "Clean" EG8, I'm working on this one, because everyone around here, likes to talk crap about a car that isn't "Clean", If I don't do it this way, I'll do it the basic way and just screw that garden edging to the front, Like those hood risers that people waste their money on, Nope, I used some sockets. I'll post some pics up when i'm done. You'll like it. But thanks for no help anyways! I asked how it was done, not for your opinion on what you thought of the home depot lips.

Ask the people back in 03 who decided to buy gardening edging to attach to their rides.

Im looking into some PVC piping to make a cold air intake and some potting soil to make a garden where my spare tire was!

so instead of spending $5 on washers to do a stupid modification that won't help your 1.5l shitbox... you wasted a socket?

buy a rivet gun, buy some chicken wire, slap tub and tile caulk on it, rattle can black. home depot lip.

and everyone hates "DIY" builds that look like ****. everyone loves DIY builds where thought and creativity still produces a nice finished product. i imagine, this build, will not be that.

Again, this entire post was a question on if you had any idea on how to do it like THAT, not put your opinion on whether to do it or NOT. I'm doing it regardless. And no, the car doesn't even come close to looking like ****. Here's the thing, you just said that you don't imagine that i'm putting any thought and creativity into it, but i'm sitting here, not doing a lip yet, because i'd like to use that Idea, but not certain on how to do it that way. I'm pretty sure that's taking thought, and time. I'm in no rush on this build. Nobodies opinion matters to me on MY car. It's MY choice. The title, it's in my name.

AND LMFAO. So you just ASSUME, I have a 1.5l in it because it's an eg8? Maybe I have a Boosted 1.6? Or even a K swap? How would you know? I've never SAID what was in the motor, The motor and the bay were done VERY nice, I guess you've never heard of a sleeper? Your Ignorance, and arrogance, it's rather entertaining. So, please, when you have something else to say, just say it.

The best way to do it would probably be to try to come up with some kind of mounting tabs which use the tabs on the bumper intended for the oem lip. If you don't want any kind of rivets showing on the front side, you'll probably have to bond the tabs to the lip using some kind of epoxy or something like JB weld.

The point of this thread was to ask how to put a garden edging lip on your car. A: There is no right or wrong way to Rig yard supplies on your ride. Rig that sucker on there some how... use your imagination and thoughts, eitherway it will still look like edging on your car.

If you are going to do it, don't use garden trim. Use the garage door trim. It will still look like ****...just less ****.

You should get rid of all your weather stripping and screw sections of garden hose in their place. The kind with the "racing stripe"!

There are repro OEM lips on eBay, also ... fitment is boss. Price is very affordable. Home Depot options are not viable when there are better possibilities available to you.
