It did look good painted, however I felt that it didn't look right just hanging there. As far as people saying why paint carbon, its not made or designed to be pretty, it serves as a function.
BTW, I am not painting the hood, I feel if the whole car was that colour it would be too much blue.

PPG spray can, that's a new one on me. I've used that clear before, gloss dies pretty quick; after a few months it starts getting dull. Looks good though, thumbs up for someone actually trying to make their paintwork look good.
