Default 95 JDM Lancer GSR

Here are a few pics of a friends jdm lancer gsr. it was imported a few years ago and was just registered "legally."

Has an evo3 motor, evo3 turbo, evo3 intercooler, forged centerline wheels and a few other misc jdm parts.

enjoy the pics.

paint job is coming soon...he's only had it on the road for abotu a month.

it will run mid 12's at around 105-110mph as it sits right now.

best part about the car is its smaller than an evo8, lighter, but with the same suspension as jdm lancer evo3's. this means the steering rack, etc which is what makes the car handle so well.

the main difference is the car came with a different front bumper, smic, smaller turbo and a slightly different ecu.

looks like the car had been rolled over. but I love track used cars and that's exactly what that is.

mid 200's?

evo3 16g's make 320+whp at 20psi all day long.

where did you come up with the mid 200's figure?

Drag Racing is just as bad as NASCAR

Getting an AWD and drag racing it is even worse.

well mike knott has run 11's with a 14b. if you check dsmtimes, you'll see that he is #6 on the list. he helped (and was co-owner) of the goodwill laser before selling his half to joe bucci.

link: http://www.dsmtimes.org/times....age=1
6 Mike Knott 11.839 117.78 7.678 92.73 1.740 14b No

a link to the goodwill car.
http://www.joebucci.com/Goodwill1.html

since the car has run 10's on a 14b. my point in posting this...is that mike has vast experience with dsm's and gets the most out of every setup he's put together. i have no doubt the car would easily run mid 12's with the setup on his lancer.

and i'm not a big fan of drag racing either, but its fun to have a 12 second car that has a quiet exhaust, cold ac and comfortable suspension. his lancer is a blast to drive and handles extremely well. mikes goal is to have a well rounded street car which is quick from light to light...and one that is capable of auto-xing and performing well at sebring and moroso.

throwing the 12 second figure out there is just a measure of its standing 1/4mile performance. the car simply wouldn't be as fun or as impressive if it were running mid 14's.

Well honestly speaking, its no a 12 sec car until you take it to the track. Everything else is just speculation.....
