1991 2nd Owner Hatch:)
So I have had this car for a while. I rarely get on here an actually post, main reason being that I forgot which email address I had registered with and could not get the password reset so I just lurked lol.
Was very lucky to find this car do to a buddy (shenrie) finding it for me and calling as soon as he found out it was for sale. On to the info
1991 Black Si Hatch, gentleman that I bought it from purchased it brand new off the lot here in Idaho. He had some work done on it here by the Idaho SpeedCenter while they were open which consists of:
b16a swap,ys1 cable tranny, intake, header, 2.5" exhaust, tokico illumina struts on progress springs, full ES bushing kit, goodridge brake lines, adjustable upper control arms, progress front and rear sway bars, full integra brakes...and I believe thats it.
It had a customer built induction box attached to the hood at one point, thus the scoop. On to the pics
What it looked like when I first got it, wheels were very discolored/faded and so was paint
Pics of it after three coats of wax, the wheels fully restored with the help of a few buddy's and the vc painted.
A little drive
Got bored a few days after and decided to clean up the bay some more and paint the wheels.
Amber corners/blinkers and a fresh wax
New wheels, just wasn't feeling the white or the style of the Konig's. Also added dropzone slip on coils 450/350 and went lower. And rear wiper delete, OEM sunroof visor, antenna delete and OEM door stickers.
New hood. USDM fit SIR style VIS carbon fiber
And a little power adder
NRG hub, quick release and wheel. Also added drilled/slotted rotors and Blox rear LCAs
And where it is currently at as of now until tear down for the turbo build..
urbo kit and parts consist of.
Ebay Cast mani-FMIC-Piping
DNA Motoring 50trim turbo
DSM 450cc blue top injectors
p28 ecu
ARP headstuds
Hondata intake manifold gasket
obd1 conversion harness/dizzy ect
Gates racing timing belt
OEM waterpump
Walbro 255 fuel pump w/ rewire kit
Aluminum dual core half radiator
blox block oil filter adapter
Glowshift boost/oil pressure gauges
Glowshift dash mount pods
Still waiting on the conversion harness, oil filter adapter, gauges and radiator...then I will start to tear it apart.
I also decided to paint the valve cover....turned out alright. Used crinkle paint and red over it. Still kind of unsatisfied, will probably sand down all the letters or something.
Painted the door moldings, fixed the bumper, polished and waxed..Took for EVER lol.
And picked up a set of the OEM rear speaker pods this week. Kind of a long post....but thanks for lookin guys.

That Gif made me lol.
Thanks man, steering wheel came with the hub and quick release and is 1000x better than the old school flat bottom knock off that was on there. It is more function over form.

^^^ ha, thanks do I know you??
its nice to see all my hard work being used for what I built it for 7-8 years ago, and **** it only took you 7 years to come try autox...well done
really though, this car looks sofa king good now. always liked it when it was Jims, but you did what you do to your cars and I like it, as always. keep up the good work brotha!
when he first brought it in, it had the original d with a bullfrog cam and reflashed ecu. that should jar some memories loose for the og's, lol.

Re: 1991 2nd Owner Hatch:)
Thanks guys...as with any EF it's a work in progress
Appreciate it! A nicer wheel may be in the future, but for now my funds and work are focused on getting the turbo kit on and done as well as a wider wheel/better tire combo
Haha well stupid is as stupid does. I am happy that it is finally being used also, the car is a lot of fun and will be more when all is said and done. And thank you sir! Always good to get compliments, maybe if I actually keep this long enough it will live up to what the white hatch is
As of right now, I am up in the air about what clutch I would like to run or if I want to try to squeeze every piece of life that I can out of the current clutch. I have been looking at sprung 6 pucks with 9lbs flywheels....some insight would be nice as this will be my first boosted b series.

Re: 1991 2nd Owner Hatch:)
ive used the act hdss setup in all my autox cars and has worked flawless (turbo and NA). isnt so sprung that it sucks to dd, but is strong enough to thrash on without slipping (you know how I treat my cars and for how long Ive been treating them that way). its good for 245 ft/lbs of torque. I dunno what your FI setup will yeild you, but they have others that are good for up too 320 ft/lbs for a bit mo money.
http://www2.advancedclutch.com/13985...I_(B17A1).html
And use the Fidanza flywheel. nice and light (7-8 lbs) and has a repalceable contact surface thats cheaper (40-50 bucks) to replace if you ever burn up a clutch or have some kind of unforseen failure. pn is: 228751. Looks like the offer a package deal for clutch/flywheel as well with the higher end version clutch being good for 260ft/lbs of torque, but Ive never heard of anyone using thier clutches :dunno:
your gonna have to keep that car a long time to get it to the point of whitey my friend. way too many good deals were stumbled on with that car to get it where its at, lol.

Re: 1991 2nd Owner Hatch:)
Been quite some time since I logged onto HT and actually posted, so here's the progress from that last post until now
Didn't put the wheels on right away as it was winter, so they just sat and the tear down on the car started.
Didn't get to terribly far as we bought a new house and moving commenced, which is a complete PITA btw. SO slapped the wheels on and set it down while we were packing/moving.
New center tail light garnish
In its new home, finally have a shop to work in.
Was having clearance issues with the half radiator, downpipe and etc. So got the aftermarker traction bar installed. And also finally got the crank pulley off, and ordered an ITR pulley instead of the retarded UR racing underdrive pulley. Also got a moroso oil pan, and a couple other small bits and piecs.
And a few pics from autox before the car wen under the knife
Heres a pic of how im thinking the gauges will be set..
The Ecu wiring was a freaking disaster, going to be fun figuring out wtf is going on here
[hr]
got rid of the rpf1s and temporarily the car was on +38 b bombs
Oil pressure and boost gauges hooked up and mounted
picked up a lower center console
Moved the battery down to make some room, its a braille 8lb battery
In the meantime my truck was killing my wallet in gas everyday so bought a 90 lx sedan to dd
Pic of how the bay looks currently
obviously nothing can remain stock so the sedan got a lip, slammed, a deck spoiler, window visors the b bombs and wagon sideskirts
spc rear camber arms and em usa ucas
[hr]
Ucas installed
Also bought a crx to part out for cheap and found this on it, was pretty stocked
Sedan got a prelude si steering wheel along with seats(yes all the buttons work)
Converted sedan to mpfi and hatch got some new shows (16x7 REAL buddy clubs wrapped in neo gens)
Last but not least, cleaned up the sedans bay and had the valve cover pc'd
As it sits right now the mods are-
b16a-with gsr cams
ARP head studs
ebay 50trim turbo
cast manifold
dsm 450 injectors
custom 2.5" dp carbon heat wrapped with o2 bung

Re: 1991 2nd Owner Hatch:)
Haven't logged onto HT for a bit, been super busy...
I decided to pull the kit off and sell it to help fund other projects( I have an RT4wd and 2 sedans now)
Tucked the bay, added a bwr intake manifold, omni power 70mm tb, 3" sri with blox filter/velocity stack, plm tri y header, innovative front crossmember, Mugen rep hatch spoiler, real CF midwing, changed to clear corners and bumper lights, chargespeed rep usdm fit lip...among other small things here and there.
Next thats ordered and will get here this week is Skunk2 alpha series radiator, ground controls, and zc h4 headlights with oem clear corners.
Big wing is big, pics before wing was color matched
Also installed an oem deck
Wing was color matched, installed the hood pins.
updated bay shot
got this today also
