on my ej1 i did a cardboard test fit on the driver side and I got 28.5 inches in length, and 21.5 inches in width.
For the passenger side its touchy because of the exhaust... I dont know how I can do on that side with the piping etc.. but it doesnt look like there would be as much air getting trapped on that side.. I can probably fit a small piece in there somehow.
Once i get measurements down ill go buy some sheet metal and I'll see if i can make it happen..

i don't think you are way off at all , how do u think they figured out how to do it...just try it. Thats what im going to be doing soon, i think im going to be using either fiberglass sheets or aluminum honeycomb/ foam cell for my materials and its relatively cheap and sturdy.
for mine im doing it for reduction in drag so i want mine as smooth as possible!

I was starting from the wrong area. I started at my LCA's on back to the rear. Looks as if Im supposed to start further up front a lil closer to the cat.. which would make more sense i guess haha.
im gonna do some more research and re- measure everything again. I just wanted something simple and functional, but we'll see.

Besides increasing fuel mileage, comfort level, or lifespan... there's really nothing that's "street car" worthy.
