anyone ever get a whining noise on the freeway at high speeds? it audible when you step on the gas and goes away when you let off the gas.

is this a symptom of bad transmission?

btw, i turned off the radio just incase there was a ground loop or something.

samething happens to me.. but its only at low speeds and its on a 07 civic.

inside the trans, only way to find out is if u take the trans off

I have the same problem... It is the intake check and make sure that you do not have a crack or a hole in the tube that leads to the air box it is a fairly common problem with 7th gen accords.

if its anything like mines, I got my car checked and they said it was a power steering fluid leak or something like that

interesting. i got power steering and intake leak. intake leak sounds more like it but i dont really know. as far as power steering leak goes, the rack and reservoir and pump seems dry. i hope its not that thing inside the tranny.

I had a similar whining noise, eventually it was found out my alternator was going to die. You might want to ask them to check that.

the coils in my alternator seems to be black compared to my 96 accord.

are black coils signs of a failing alternator?
