I believe at 105,000 miles. Not 100% sure though.

The 4 cylinder has a timing CHAIN, so there is no need to change it. Only the V6 engines have timing belts.

Why did they do this? Also how long can I go past 105 for my V6 before I need to replace this. Is there an advantage to a timing belt compared to a chain.

A chain on the V6 would be much longer, heavier, and make more noise. The belt should be changed at 105k miles. The longer you go after that, is rolling the dice. You could make it to 200k, but maybe only 120k before it snaps.

I did mine at 118,000....along with the tensioner, water pump and one of the motor mounts.

Everything seemed ok to me. No point in waiting though. You'll probably only do it once in the life of the time you own it. So just do it now for safety.

Thanks for the advice! I actually just got the parts in the mail. I google searched honda parts, and found Hondapartsdeals.com It is a dealer in Rhode Island, that sells parts at highly discounted prices. I got everything genuine honda and it cost 110 less, in addition to reasonable shipping compared to the Honda estore price. Everything was 25% or so off. Now I just need ot find some1 to put it in. Shipping was really quick though. Since I am in Boston, it took only about a day.

Thanks for the advice though!
