Starter?

Starter?
So I have a v6 auto car and it has got to where it won't start from time to time. Fuel pump is priming, battery is good, but when I turn the key to start there's nothing. After I tap the starter a couple times and turn the key it will click one time then the next time I turn the key it will start. Any opinions?

Re: Starter?
Get it replaced asap, it's going to die soon and your trick won't work.
If you don't mind dirty fingers, it should only take about 2/3 hours to change out.
You'll need a starter, and a upper intake manifold gasket. Yes you have to remove the intake manifold.

Re: Starter?
The OP didn't give info on the "year/gen" but did state that they have a v6. Didn't look at the 8th gen accords but the 7th gen v6 starter replacement is totally different than on 4cyl.

Re: Starter?
My fault guys. It was an 07 V6. It was the starter. I went 2 sundays ago and got a new one from oriellys and it took me about a hour to change. 6 days later that one went out sitting it radio shack parking lot. It was warrantied for free and took me about 30 min to swap that one. Not real sure what made it fail but while it was in the car you could hear it pooping out but not spinning. When I returned it to oriellys they hooked it up and it would spin but not pop out.

Re: Starter?
Sorry didnt specify the year but on an 07 V6 you do not need an intake manifold gasket
