Reset SRS System? Airbag Deployment

Reset SRS System? Airbag Deployment
My girlfriend's car had the airbags deploy due to popping a curb. Oddly enough they were the passenger side seat and curtain - no airbag actually near her?
But my question is in regards to the SRS system. I can easily replace the air bags and take care of that but does the SRS just require a reset (like my 96 Accord) or does the SRS computer need to be replaced?
Silly question but I had read several places about the SRS 'brain' needing replacement after accidents.

The SRS control unit will need replacement.
Also check for any deployment of the seat belt tensioners and seat belt buckle tensioners.

Re: Reset SRS System? Airbag Deployment
The srs control unit is located underneath the center console at the base of the dash.
I'm assuming that you have a 2003-2007 accord and in which case you would need to remove the center console pocket with the closing lid. There's a couple trim pieces that need to come off first, but it's pretty easy to get to.

D'oh, can't believe I didn't list the year of the car in first post!
Yeah, it is an 2007. I haven't had any problems taking off trim in the other newer Hondas so can't imagine her's will give me too much trouble. It'll probably be in the next two weeks I do the replacement. Probably do the bags first and get the trim pieces all back where they need to go then replace the seat back. Then I'll dive into the center console.
Appreciate the help 90sedan

Re: Reset SRS System? Airbag Deployment
You will need to replace all the blown airbags, the SRS computer, any broken seatbelts, and any bad airbag sensors. Older honda's didn't have sensors, but these new ones do. The SRS light will not go off until everything is fixed. The light should reset on its own after that.
