Default Power window problems

Hi everyone. I purchased a 2003 2-door Accord EX V6 a month or two ago and I've been having problems with the driver side power window. The window switch always felt a bit loose, and shortly after I got the car home the switch would stop working intermittently.

Every couple of days it would not roll down when I pressed the switch, sometimes fiddling with it would make it work, sometimes I just had to wait a few minutes, and it would start working again. And it was only rolling it down I had a problem with, it would always roll up.

The other day I had the windows down and the driver-side window refused to roll back up. Checked the fuses and they were all fine. I figured it was just the switch. I took the panel apart at home and ended up breaking the switch all the way off (it was apparently already half broken).

So I went to the dealership and coughed up the $175 for a new power switch. The part came in this morning and it did not fix it (but I need it anyway since the old switch is broken). The passenger window still works fine, but I cannot get the drivers side to come up. I'm going to take the door panel off tonight and see if I can see a loose connection or something.

Also, with the new control unit plugged in my keyless entry doesn't work. Do I need to program it somehow or what? I really appreciate any help you guys can provide as this has been a giant pain having my windows stuck down (thunderstorms all week).

Default Re: Power window problems (drew and not u)

that is weird...
I have similar problem, except mine does that only in extremely hot weather...
anyways...

where did you buy your vehicle? if you bought it at the dealership, you should just take it right back and complain. I checked if your vehicle had any recalls related to that but there wasn't any.

New switch you bought, does that button feel loose too like your old one?
and you dont need to reprogram keyless for your new parts.
check if wire cable for your lock/unlock is disconnected during installation.
