knocking/thumping under feet while braking
I just bought a 2005 Honda Accord and just recently I have noticed something. Whenever I apply the brakes hard I feel a thump or knocking under my feet. Not at the brake pedal but literally under my legs. You can also hear the thumping knocking sound. This is also the first car I have had with ABS but after doing research I figure that is not the culprit because I should feel that at the brake pedal. If anyone has any suggestions I would be very happy. Also the car has 48000 miles if that helps. I am just worried because I just got the car and I am afraid something is really wrong!

You must have issues with the rotor... You will only feel the ABS pulsing at near maximum brake pressure.

Re: knocking/thumping under feet while braking
I have the same problem on my 2003 Honda Accord, but it only happens when I first start the car, then it disappears. Anybody have any solutions? Or even know what it might be?

that sort of thing was happening to me, as it turns out that was the beginning to an interior bearing in the tranny warping and now, i've got to replace it. take it to a shop and have them check it out, if its still under warranty and that is the problem then your fine, but at the shop by my house the man hours and parts cost to fix the problem would come to about $6,100 and a remanufactured tranny is around $3,000 and a brand spanking new one is around $5,100. Just food for thought.
